** The Flookes are sad to announce that we cannot play Greystoke Beer Festival this weekend.  It would have been our absolute pleasure to support this event and of course the Soul Survivors.  Our percussionist, Tony, has been involved in a serious incident and is currently hospitalised. We are a close team and feel we can't play without him. We would like to thank the organisers for the opportunity and wish the event the best of luck for a great night.

Thanks ,Sarah (band member)

A positive LFT result ? - isolate at home and arrange a PCR test via online booking.

Covid symptoms? - isolate at home and arrange a PCR test. Please do not attend the Beer Festival.

Someone in your household has tested poitive for Covid?  - arrange a PCR test straight away

We will ask for a contact number for your party to help the busy NHS Track and Trace Teams

Respect social distancing whilst queing and be patient with our volunteers as they get you all into the event safely,

Lets all stay safe and look out for each other by keeping this virus at bay and we hope you have a good night!

We are OPEN upto and including the 05 of Septmeber 2021 daily from 1pm to 6pm. The removal of most Covid-19 restrictions from 19th July, enabled us to revert to near normal maximum numbers swimming in Greystoke Pool, which is currently 40 swimmers.

There is no booking system for the pool, so please do not try and contact us to book during openeing hours, It is only possible to book the whole pool for private hire - see the relevant section on the web page.

Currently there are TWO swim sessions,  1.00 - 3.15pm and 3.45 - 6pm . On busy days please be preapred to queue, its a first come first serve basis. All our helpers are volunteers and they will do their best to accommodate you. There is however  a good children's play area and  playing field next to the pool and the cafe is open 1-6pm, serving real coffee , hot drinks, scones , traybakes and ice-creams fo takeaway.

To protect our volunteers who work in the cafe, we kindly request that adults continue to bring a face mask and wear them in the cafe when you arrive to buy your tickets or order food and drinks.

Many thanks for your understanding and continued support

The Sports Association is responsible for Greystoke’s playing fields, children’s play areas and the village’s wonderful open air heated swimming pool and buildings (including its café). These are vital facilities for the village and surrounding communities.

The Sports Association has a very committed, effective and friendly group of 11 trustees who sit on the management committee. We are supported by our army of dedicated volunteers who help with maintenance, run the café and help at fundraising events. The Sports Association is a great way of meeting people in the local area.

A few trustees are stepping down from the committee this summer, after putting a great stint supporting the pool. This includes the current chair. We are therefore seeking some new blood on the committee to help in the running of the pool. There are lots of different roles available to suit anybody with enthusiasm and a desire to help the local community run this wonderful facility.

The role of the new chair is to ensure the co-ordination of the work of the committee and to continue to take forward the development of the swimming pool and our other facilities.

For an informal discussion about what is involved please do not hesitant to contact Stephen Nicol via our Facebook page
